Dear Parents,
  At English Center USA, we believe the best way to prepare students for a single day of testing – and a lifetime beyond – is to create a stimulating learning environment that asks students to take ownership of their own thinking and learning. Whether it be exploring the limits of their ability as writers in our Creative Writing Workshops or examining the underlying structure of formal written English in our Grammar & Punctuation Workshop, your student can learn in a welcoming classroom atmosphere that is designed to put the excitement back into their education by giving them the tools to take charge of their success. Students build intellectual and academic skills which allow them to excel not only on tests, such as the ACT, SAT, SSAT, and PSAT, but in all academic endeavors.

  Don’t miss this unique opportunity! Schools today are removing important components of the curriculum to make room for rote test preparation exercises and drills. In fact, most schools that adopt this approach see standardized test scores decline for average and above students, because they become bored and disengaged from writing and reading while their critical thinking skills are allowed to atophy from disuse. Furthermore, with school budget cuts throughout the state of Illinois, students will lose out even more.   The development of these workshops evolved from my own experiences as a mother of three gifted children who sought educational challenges outside of the traditional classroom.
